ABOUT
THE FOUNDATION

Dora Bandele Foundation (DBF) was established as a response to further the humaniatarian activities of Mama Theodora Bamidele Abolo (1933-2023) with a focus on women and girls.

HISTORY

Mama Theodora Bamidele Abolo lost her parents at an early age and was so deprived of formal education. She determined to see that she provided support to deprived women and girls in the community and beyond. This was a major pre-occupation for her as she informally channeled her resources to providing support for women and girls cutting across social, economic and cultural platforms.

Her parting wish was a continuation of her support for deprived women and girls. Dora Bandele Foundation was established to give life to this parting wish.
